Grantmakers Income Security Task Force

About this grant

Grantmakers Income Security Task Force (GIST) is a group of funders concerned with issues of poverty and income security for low-income families. GIST serves as a forum for grantmakers to stay informed about changing public policy, new program implementation, emerging research findings, and current grantmaking strategies in income security and related fields. Funding will support activities that include planning and coordinating quarterly meetings; developing and implementing ways to collect, summarize and distribute more detailed descriptions of income-security grantmaking strategies; providing a “home” for two new informal grantmakers’ affinity groups – the Earned Income Tax Credit Funders Network and the Individual Development Account (IDA) Funders Group; enhancing GIST’s visibility within the larger grantmaker community; and increasing membership.
