Grantmakers Income Security Taskforce

About this grant

Grantmakers Income Security Taskforce, a project of the Finance Project, is an affinity group for funders broadly interested in the social and economic conditions that generate and perpetuate poverty. Its mission is to broaden funders’ perspectives on critical issues, deepen their understanding of issues in which they are already active, and promote strategic, collaborative grantmaking. Grantmakers Income Security Taskforce activities have led to a number of collaborative efforts, including the Welfare Information Network, another project of the Finance Project. During the grant period, the grantee will continue to provide a vehicle to help members better understand income security issues and the status of and/or impact of policies and programs designed to address those issues. This work will be accomplished through a series of working groups, quarterly meetings, special projects, and information-sharing efforts.
