Activities will focus on continuing to develop the Russian NGO network against racism; monitoring of and public action against hate speech in Russian mass media; developing a specialized Web site for Russian human rights activists in the practical application of international human rights mechanisms; organizing a nationwide campaign for democratic alternative civil service and a public campaign for the reform of NGO taxation; and supporting NGO-government dialogues and youth discussions on civil society and civic activism.Activities during the past two years included distributing analytical materials to the Russian parliament and government; establishing NGO coalitions and networks to combat racism, ethnic discrimination, intolerance, xenophobia and extremism in Russia; organizing events and exchanges; and advocating for reform of NGO taxation.
