About this grant
The PICO National Network is a training institute for organizers and community leaders with 50 federated projects in 18 states. The organization is comprised of 500 institutional members that consist of either congregations or community organizations, as well as 950,000 low- and moderate-income families. This grant will enable the network to continue to expand its reach; develop grassroots leadership; recruit and train professional organizers; and increase the civic participation of low-income community residents in order to attack root causes of poverty. Funding includes an increase to support expansion efforts in response to the growing interest in developing new local organizations.
