About this grant
This grant provides continued support to the International Society for Third-Sector Research, a global membership association with 652 members from 72 countries that encourages, supports, and provides academic legitimacy to the study of civil society around the world. Founded in 1992 and based at Johns Hopkins University, the society’s major accomplishments include convening biennial international research conferences; publishing special reports, conference working papers, and a scholarly journal; and convening regional meetings of research networks in Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia and the Pacific. A grant increase will enable the society to support a special session on community foundations at its 11th International Conference in Muenster, Germany. The session is part of a set of projects and events marking the centennial of the community foundation field.
