About this grant
The Foundation Center is a national organization that collects, analyzes, and publishes information on foundations and philanthropy. The center operates five regional libraries and a network of 425 funding information centers throughout the country. It provides training and information resources for grantseeking organizations and individuals. Its databases contain profiles of approximately 100,000 grantmakers and more than 1.8 million grants around the world. The center also produces and disseminates research on foundations and strategic communications that promote public understanding of philanthropy. Over the past few years, the center has increasingly moved existing products and services online and has launched new ones using the latest communications technologies. Plans for 2010-2011 include expansion of electronic grant reporting, supporting information needs for global philanthropy development, and new research on philanthropy and critical social issues.
