About this grant
The program goal is to build social development capacity in Central/Eastern Europe and Russia. To this end, the Development School, a registered charity in the United Kingdom, offers two validated postgraduate learning programs: one for social development practitioners and the other for leaders of grantmaking foundations in the region. A total of 32 people are participating in residential learning sessions, one-on-one work with tutors, and independent research and writing assignments. By the end of the grant, students will be required to attend additional residential sessions and complete dissertations, which will be reviewed and confirmed by university examination boards. During the grant period, the Development School will focus entirely on completing both postgraduate programs. The Development School is managed from London, and most residential sessions are held in Hungary.
