About this grant

The Synergos Institute’s Senior Fellows Program links civil society leaders in a worldwide learning, service, and action network. The network strengthens the capacities of these leaders and provides them with opportunities to be catalysts in partnerships that address the systemic causes of poverty and promote sustainable social change. Senior fellows serve as peer consultants to developing community foundations and other civil society organizations around the world, and their work produces knowledge on trends and innovative models which the Synergos Institute distributes to a wide audience. The current senior fellows network is comprised of 100 fellows from 30 countries. In 2010-2011, the program will add up to 30 new fellows and provide networking, convening, peer learning, collaboration, and service opportunities. Founded in 1986, the Synergos Institute promotes collaborative approaches that bring rich and poor together, along with other relevant groups and institutions, to overcome poverty and foster sustainable development in developing countries.
