About this grant
Georgia River Network engages citizens to protect and restore the state’s rivers by supporting watershed groups and informing policy. Georgia contains some of the most biologically rich rivers in the continental United States, and many of its waters are considered globally outstanding for their diverse aquatic life. With prior Mott support, the grantee promoted beneficial river policies, helped citizens organize watershed groups, enhanced these groups’ capacities to protect and restore rivers, and strengthened its own institutional capabilities. This grant renewal will allow the network to continue providing capacity building and other technical services to Georgia’s river and watershed groups.
