About this grant

The Alliance for Quality Education was created to advocate for adequate state funding to achieve the goal of a quality education for every child in New York state. The alliance is a broad statewide coalition made up of more than 220 organizations that are involved in local organizing efforts in six regions of the state. Multiyear funding will support objectives that include continuing to inform the public; building a broad and unified coalition; collecting and providing data; sharing local stories; developing policy options that address needs; and shaping strategies around available leverage points. Activities will include recruiting 700 additional individual members; developing a faith-based strategy; organizing at least 21 forums per year; training at least 200 leaders; providing technical assistance; and holding an annual education summit with at least 700 participants.
