About this grant
The Educational Equity Network is a project of Claremont Graduate University that addresses racial disparities in education outcomes. The project is implemented through several sites that have developed an approach to educational disparities by combining antiracism training with work within school systems and communities.Funding will support specialized training for teachers, counselors and administrators; meetings of the equity network for information sharing; adult leadership participation in an educational equity institute; and the preparation and publication of lessons learned from the project.During 2005, accomplishments included meetings of site leaders from the national network of antiracism community building sites; increased support for and communication through a Web site as a means of collecting and disseminating information relevant to the field; and the development of national strategies to address areas of disparity.
