About this grant
The goal of AID/WATCH is to monitor the environmental and social impacts of Australian foreign assistance funding, including the country’s export credit agency. This grant will enable AID/WATCH to play an active role in efforts to reform international export credit agencies and provide non-governmental organizations working on international finance and trade issues with institutional capacity-building support to help strengthen financial and internal administrative structures, refine organizational governance structures and develop internal communication processes.Funding will support specific activities including monitoring the reform of Australia’s export credit agency and its bilateral assistance program; conducting media and public outreach to increase the understanding of international financial institution issues; and examining ways in which export credit agencies, governments and multilateral development banks fit into the larger context of the international financial architecture.
