About this grant

Through the Civil Society Resource Centre Program, Association "Mi" provides training to non-governmental organizations (NGOs); facilitates cooperation within the nonprofit sector; promotes volunteerism in communities and the sector; advocates for a better legal and fiscal framework for the sector at national and local levels; encourages cross-sector cooperation; and raises public awareness about the nonprofit sector and philanthropy.Multiyear funding will support objectives that include increasing the capacity of the nonprofit sector; facilitating cooperation within the sector; promoting civic responsibility and participation through volunteer work; raising public awareness about the sector; advocating for an enabling legal and fiscal environment; maintaining a library for use by local NGOs; and encouraging research and information publishing about the sector in southern Croatia.During the past three years, the organization has provided basic training and technical assistance to 398 NGOs in more than 65 towns in southern Croatia; presented the work of the nonprofit sector through the media; and partnered with NGOs in eastern Croatia on national-level nonprofit sector advocacy.
