About this grant

The Global Philanthropy Forum is a project of the World Affairs Council of Northern California. The forum’s mission is to build a community of donors and social investors committed to international causes and to inform, enable, and enhance the strategic nature of their work. At present, the forum is comprised of a network of over 750 donors. Its main activity is an annual conference, which last year attracted 473 participants. Other services in 2010 included learning events in the San Francisco Bay Area, a donor trip to Liberia, online resources, and donor-recipient matchmaking. In 2011, the forum will host an annual conference and provide other learning and partnering opportunities to its constituency. The World Affairs Council of Northern California is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization devoted to engaging the public in a discussion of the transnational issues of tomorrow.
