About this grant
The Global Philanthropy Forum is a project of the World Affairs Council of Northern California. The forum’s mission is to build a community of donors and social investors committed to international causes and to inform, enable, and enhance the strategic nature of their work. At present, the forum consists of a network of over 750 donors of which 61 are members. Its main activity is an annual conference which attracted 472 participants last year. Other forum services in 2011 included learning events in the San Francisco Bay Area, online resources, and donor-recipient matching. In 2012 and 2013, the forum will host annual conferences in Washington, D.C., and the Bay Area, provide other learning and partnering opportunities to donors, and expand its constituency. The World Affairs Council of Northern California is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization devoted to engaging the public in a discussion of the transnational issues of tomorrow.
