About this grant

The Great Lakes Revolving Loan Fund provides short-term financing for the protection of ecologically significant freshwater sites in the portion of the Great Lakes basin located in the United States. Since its inception in 2001, the fund has helped protect about 20,000 acres valued at nearly $56 million. This grant increase will build the fund’s corpus, allowing it to meet a growing demand for conservation project financing. The fund is a project of the Conservation Fund, a national organization which uses revolving loan funds as a means to conserve land and water.
