About this grant

This grant will continue to support the efforts of the National School Boards Association to advance school leadership and policy development in support of afterschool opportunities for all students. Specifically, this project will continue building the capacity of school board leaders in playing a critical role in examining how students are educated and developing strategic plans with various stakeholders at the local, state, and national levels to create seamless learning opportunities for all students based on the needs of their respective districts and communities. To accomplish this, the National School Boards Association will raise awareness among school board members regarding how quality afterschool programs can help improve education, and build the capacity of state school board associations to better support and promote extended learning opportunities.
