About this grant
This grant will enable the National League of Cities Institute, a research, education, and training affiliate of the National League of Cities, to continue to increase the capacity of municipal leaders in launching cross-system efforts that expand education options for disconnected youth. In the most recent phase of this initiative, the National League of Cities Institute provided direct technical assistance to cities by working with municipal leaders to expand best practices and models that result in improved cross-system efforts for disconnected youth. During the final phase of this initiative, the grantee will provide another round of direct technical assistance to a new cohort of cities, develop a resource guide to help cities assess strategies/investments for disconnected youth, and expand outreach efforts to municipal leaders and national organizations to advocate for increased capacity and resources to reengage youth.
