About this grant

The American Institute for Social Justice provides leadership and staff training, technical assistance, research and campaign support to community organizing groups, including the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). This grant increase will enable the institute to expand the training and technical assistance provided to local ACORN groups. Activities will include identifying, recruiting and training additional organizers; providing ongoing professional and personal development opportunities for organizers; conducting local and regional training events for leaders; developing new chapters; and forming partnerships with other organizing networks.
