About this grant

NPower Michigan is dedicated to helping nonprofits better serve their communities through technology. An affiliate of the NPower National Network, it provides hands-on technology support services to meet the needs of individual nonprofits.Funding will enable NPower Michigan to develop a model program of services for communities of color; build a knowledge-sharing network that shares practices, nonprofit applications and other service and technology information; publish four quarterly newsletters and monthly e-newsletters on relevant technology topics; provide quarterly forums; expand its service area beyond Detroit and Grand Rapids; and strengthen internal operations.Recent accomplishments included offering newly scheduled technology maintenance plans for nonprofits; implementing a new quarterly forum, "NPowering Thoughts," to provide education on technology topics for nonprofit leaders; convening a statewide technology education summit; and providing more than 2,000 hours of training to more than 450 students.
