About this grant
The goal of the International Interfaith Investment Group (3iG), a project of the Alliance of Religions and Conservation, is to promote the ethical and moral transformation of the asset management practices and investment activities of the world’s faith communities. Such a shift of capital could play a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of new voluntary codes of business conduct and universal environmental and social audit standards.Funding will support the development of 3iG to benefit faith-based communities by building and maintaining a clearinghouse of best practices and practitioners in the field; and helping faith communities take full advantage of the clearinghouse. Activities will include developing a brochure for the mission statement and core values; creating a business plan; organizing the meeting and launch of 3iG in spring 2005; and preparing for the immediate operation of 3iG as an independent organization following that meeting.
