About this grant
The Cahaba River Society (CRS) is Alabama’s largest watershed conservation organization. It works with a diverse alliance of urban and suburban residents and businesses to restore and protect the Cahaba River watershed.Multiyear funding will enable CRS to implement an Upper Cahaba Watershed study; pursue environmental educational opportunities; encourage public investment in infrastructure; support efforts to restore water quality; help improve the capabilities of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management; and increase organizational capacity.Recently, activities included launching the Upper Cahaba Watershed study to develop solutions to protect the watershed while allowing for regional population growth.
