About this grant
Implementation of the Annex 2001 agreement, an amendment to the Great Lakes Charter outlining a new regional approach to water management, presents an important opportunity to respond to increased public concern over water quantity issues in the basin. The proposed Annex 2001 implementation plan was recently released to the public, and the document will be finalized over the coming year with ample opportunity for public input. This grant increase will enable Clean Wisconsin to continue promoting broad participation in the Annex 2001 implementation process. Efforts will include disseminating educational materials, promoting consensus on water management issues within the Great Lakes environmental community, and briefing key state and local officials.
