About this grant

This grant renewal will provide partial support to the Southern Education Foundation for its Center to Serve Historically Black Colleges and Universities. From 2003 to 2007, the grantee convened expert advisory committees, organized informational workshops and meetings, commissioned research, provided technical assistance, and awarded minigrants to schools approaching accreditation review. From 2007 to 2010, the grantee continued this work with a particular focus on measuring student learning outcomes, governance, and technology policy and practice. With this renewal, these activities will continue, along with an initiative to reach out to Hispanic serving institutions to help them with accreditation.
