About this grant
Although a number of community foundations have been operating in London for many years, most are relatively small with little collaboration between them. As a result of a 1997 report, the London Community Foundation was created to provide services to community foundations in London, establish quality standards and address issues such as fundraising and how to achieve mutually beneficial collaboration.Multiyear funding will support objectives that include developing a fundraising plan; ensuring grantmaking standards; creating a range of options for donors; developing a communications and marketing strategy to stimulate donor interest; and strengthening relations with public and private funders and corporate trade associations. The London Community Foundation was established in 2001 to create a citywide endowment for the benefit of London’s communities. It works in partnership with the local community foundations within the Greater London area.
