About this grant
This grant will enable the Hatcher Group to provide strategic communications technical assistance and networking opportunities to nonprofit organizations working to establish or expand Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) policies at the state level.Multiyear funding will support activities that include providing strategic communications assistance to state EITC coalitions; advancing knowledge about effective messaging through polling and focus groups; and maintaining and expanding the State EITC Online Resource Center.Recent accomplishments included conducting focus groups with policymakers, businesses and other advocates in various states; organizing briefings with key policymakers; training coalition members on media strategy and management; organizing and facilitating media events; producing electronic newsletters and reports to share best practices; and developing and maintaining a state EITC online resource center.
