About this grant
The Welfare Law Center created the Low Income Networking and Communications (LINC) project to assist low-income working groups across the United States with technology infrastructure, research strategies and networking through computers to address their needs more effectively.Multiyear funding will enable LINC to increase its target audience to include community groups focused on a broader range of issues; promote cost-effective software; expand the promotion of cost-effective software to community-based organizations in other nations; and address computer security issues for its clients. As a result of the LINC project, more than 150 welfare and other community organizations across the nation use technology to participate more fully in civic life.
