About this grant
Developed by the Asian Pacific American Legal Center of Southern California, with support from the Mott Foundation’s Civil Society program, Leadership Development in Interethnic Relations (LDIR) is a community-based leadership training initiative that has proven to be an important element of Flint and Genesee County’s ongoing efforts to address issues of racial and interethnic relations. This renewal grant to the YWCA of Greater Flint will provide continuing support for programmatic and administrative expenditures of this program. During the grant period, LDIR will assess the replication; continue to gather feedback on the community’s response to the program; develop programs and curriculum; as well as market and recruit for a third cycle of leadership training. Funding includes a grant increase to provide bridge funding to cover programmatic and administrative expenditures.
