About this grant
Since 2002, Mott has been supporting the development of the statewide afterschool network in New Hampshire. PlusTime NH, along with various committed stakeholders, have been moving this effort forward.Multiyear funding will enable PlusTime NH to provide core support to the network and support efforts to promote policies and practices for school-based/school-linked afterschool programs. In addition, PlusTime NH will utilize a statewide partnership to leverage additional public and private funds to address obesity as part of a comprehensive afterschool program; and develop a nine-month "Sustainability University" incorporating modules that allow communities to receive intensive training and technical assistance.Recent activities include creating or expanding 25 programs serving 3,427 youth; providing consultation to 80 programs serving 25,713 youth; training staff from 107 programs; helping 32 programs procure public and private funding; recruiting almost 800 volunteers; and publishing "Afterschool Learning: A Study of Academically Focused Afterschool Programs in New Hampshire.
