Vermont Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Champlain Valley Educator Development Center in continuing the development of the Vermont Statewide Afterschool Network. This grantee is part of the first cohort of Mott-funded, statewide afterschool networks. This renewal grant will continue to provide core support to the network, while also encouraging new ideas designed to align and integrate afterschool and education systems. In addition to continuing its work in building the field of afterschool in Vermont, the network will strengthen school/afterschool linkages to improve student outcomes and increase educational gains by requesting that programs from across the state create and submit video vignettes that highlight innovative learning opportunities used in their programs. The network will share lessons learned and products with the national network of statewide afterschool networks.
