About this grant
This grant to Vermont Afterschool will support the development of the Vermont Statewide Afterschool Network to continue to build an afterschool and summer learning system that improves outcomes for children and youth through school-based or school-linked afterschool programs. Over the next three years, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. The network’s specific initiatives will include: 1) engaging with program providers and other partners to promote lifelong health and child wellness through afterschool programs; 2) collecting statewide data on program availability, distribution, structure, and funding; and 3) supporting the adoption and statewide implementation of the Youth Program Quality Intervention assessment in afterschool and summer learning programs.
