About this grant
The Center for Nonprofit Management was established to provide innovative nonprofit education; encourage community linkage; identify and facilitate nonprofit volunteer and work opportunities; and create a forum for community discussion on nonprofit management. Funding will enable the center to expand nonprofit career exploration services; provide broader access to the newly designed nonprofit management curriculum; increase opportunities to link individuals to work and service in the nonprofit sector; enhance knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector; and build community outreach services.Since the creation of the center, accomplishments included establishing a graduate nonprofit management curriculum; helping persons in career transitions to explore their aspirations for service and careers in the nonprofit sector; and hosting a nonprofit board member training series.
