About this grant
The BEST (Building Excellence, Sustainability, and Trust) Project, created collaboratively by the four major funders in Genesee County (United Way of Genesee County, the Ruth Mott Foundation, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, and the C. S. Mott Foundation), provides support for technical assistance to local nonprofit organizations to promote improved clarity of goals, program planning and implementation, and greater stability and efficiency. This grant increase will support the production of a videotape by Michigan Television (WFUM-TV 28) documenting the pilot phase of BEST for the purpose of sharing knowledge, improving interest in funder coordination of capacity-building resources, and promoting an increase in cooperation and strategic collaborations within the philanthropic community to address community needs. Anticipated audiences for this video production include the boards of the funding agencies, potential additional funders, and local and national foundation staff.
