About this grant
Founded in 1996, Washington Interfaith Network is a multiracial, multifaith community organization rooted in local congregations and civic associations. Washington Interfaith Network is affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation, and its 52 dues-paying member organizations represent 25,000 families brought together for leadership development and civic engagement. This grant increase supports the start-up of an Organizer Recruitment Project at the Washington Interfaith Network and leads toward the development of a larger, multiyear organizer recruitment drive by the Industrial Areas Foundation organizations on the east coast.
