About this grant
The Irish government established the Community Foundation for Ireland in 1998 to promote the capacity of community foundations to support local nonprofit activity and serve as a convening force in the community. Multiyear funding will support the foundation’s efforts to raise permanent assets by recruiting two additional staff members to spearhead the fundraising. Objectives include raising 1 million euros from individual and corporate donors on a 1:1 match; 1.5 million euros from government, also on a 1:1 match; and 4.5 million euros from the Dormant Account Fund subject to a 1:3 match.
