About this grant
The Forum on Democracy and Trade was established in 2002 to enhance the national dialogue on trade by reinforcing the importance of state and local government involvement in the negotiating processes as well as connecting trade and globalization to state and local concerns about sustainable economic development. This general purposes grant will support the Forum on Democracy and Trade’s continued work with state and local governments in the United States on international trade and investment policy and will allow for further development of its work in Latin America. Past support has helped to develop a strong network of state-level trade oversight committees and multistate working groups on key sectors.
