About this grant
The National Council on Alcoholism and Addictions, Greater Flint Area, is currently operating with a computer system that is at least 10 years old. An up-to-date information technology system would significantly improve operational processes and the client experience, and better utilize staff time and financial resources. Funding will match support for the purchase of a new technology system that will allow the council to streamline operations, including data collection, medical documentation and billing systems; increase the effectiveness and retention of clinicians and employees; and increase the amount of direct service for clients. The council, established in 1952, is a nonprofit agency dedicated to reducing the incidence and prevalence of alcoholism and other drug addictions through education, proper diagnosis, ongoing recovery and relapse prevention.
