About this grant
The program goal is to improve information, research, and policy development on the nonprofit sector in the Czech Republic and in Central and Eastern Europe. To this end, the Society for the Study of the Nonprofit Sector will develop the Center for Nonprofit Sector Research in cooperation with the Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. The center will carry out systematic research on the Czech nonprofit sector, generate analytical materials, and make its findings widely available. Based on the data and reports produced, the center will enhance dialogue about the Czech nonprofit sector. In addition, the center will establish regular contacts with nonprofit sector researchers in other Central and Eastern European countries and will initiate joint projects. Since its establishment in 2003, the center has produced a number of reports and other publications with reliable, objective, and systematic information about various aspects of nonprofit sector development in the Czech Republic.
