About this grant
Ecoa – Ecology and Action works to protect the Pantanal and the Cerrado regions in the upper Paraná River basin, as well as the Amazon region in Brazil, and carries out projects that promote sustainable development. This grant increase and project extension will allow Ecoa – Ecology and Action and its partners to undertake additional research on large dams and biofuels. This grant increase will ensure that Latin American groups and their research and analysis will be part of global discussions on standards and safeguards for biofuel development, as well as major waterway development in key areas of South America.
