About this grant

Ecoa – Ecology and Action works to protect the Pantanal region and to promote sustainable development in the broader Plate River system, which spans Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The overall goal of the project is to raise standards and improve environmental and social policies at public sector financial institutions in South America. This grant renewal will allow the grantee to continue its work monitoring investments in energy and infrastructure by public sector financial institutions, including the Inter-American Development Bank and the Brazilian Development Bank in this important freshwater ecosystem.
