New Mexico Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant to Explora will support the development of the New Mexico Statewide Afterschool Network to continue to build an afterschool and summer learning system that improves outcomes for children and youth through school-based or school-linked afterschool programs. Over the next three years, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. The network’s specific initiatives will include: 1) creating a communications plan to raise awareness of the importance of out-of-school time programs; 2) increasing the sustainability of the network; and 3) creating regional workshops and webinars to better serve rural and tribal out-of-school time providers.
