About this grant
This grant will continue to support the Connecticut After School Network in systematically building a statewide afterschool network composed of state agencies, state and local policymakers, afterschool providers, and the private sector. This grantee is part of the second cohort of Mott-funded statewide afterschool networks. This renewal grant continues to provide core support to the network, while also encouraging new ideas designed to align and integrate afterschool and education systems. In addition to continuing its work in building the field of afterschool in Connecticut, the Connecticut After School Network will focus on raising the quality of afterschool programs by improving linkages between afterschool and school day learning and facilitating informal support networks of program managers and site coordinators. The network will share lessons learned and products with the national network of statewide afterschool networks.
