About this grant
This grant to the Connecticut After School Network will support the development of the Connecticut Statewide Afterschool Network to continue to build an afterschool and summer learning system that improves outcomes for children and youth through school-based or school-linked afterschool programs. Over the next three years, the grantee will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. Specific initiatives will include: 1) creating a new afterschool data initiative to document the current status of afterschool programs in Connecticut; 2) coordinating a strategy to increase state funding for afterschool programs; and 3) expanding and improving training and professional development supports that will promote a continuous quality improvement for afterschool and summer learning programs.
