About this grant
This grant will continue to support the New York Statewide Afterschool Network, a project of the After-School Corporation. It will strengthen and guide high quality afterschool programming and policies for New York’s children and youth, particularly low-income and hard-to-reach populations. This grantee is part of the second cohort of Mott-funded, statewide afterschool networks. This renewal grant will continue to provide core support to the network, while also encouraging new ideas designed to align and integrate afterschool and education systems. In addition to continuing its work in building the field of afterschool in New York, the network specifically will strengthen the links between afterschool, summer learning, and expanded learning opportunities with the state public education system. The network will share lessons learned and products with the national network of statewide afterschool networks.
