About this grant
This grant will support the Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership which coordinates the Massachusetts Statewide Afterschool Network. In addition to continuing the network’s core work to advance afterschool in Massachusetts, it will complete a multiyear project to establish a coordinated, statewide vision for afterschool and expanded learning. Specifically, the network will: 1) design and implement a policy campaign to support the development of afterschool and expanded learning policies that are linked with education reform efforts; 2) develop and implement a public awareness campaign to increase knowledge of the impact of quality afterschool programming on student outcomes; and 3) create a toolkit to support educators, policymakers, and afterschool and expanded learning stakeholders in assessing state and federal education policy.
