About this grant

The goal of the Flint Cultural Center Corporation (FCCC) — made up of Bower/Flint Youth Theatre, Longway Planetarium, Sloan Museum and Whiting Auditorium — is to serve as a central focus of the community by expanding outreach services to children and young people, encouraging greater participation of community members and building effective collaborations to promote the cultural center. IMultiyear funding will enable FCCC to coordinate campus-wide activities; encourage broad community ownership of the cultural center and programs; seek audience input to make sure that programs are responding to community needs and interests; and pursue creative marketing and communications strategies.FCCC, created in 1992, serves as a community center for the arts, humanities and sciences by providing programming that reflects the culturally diverse people of the greater Flint area.
