About this grant

The National Economic Development Law Center (NEDLC), known for its work on sectoral employment development, integration of childcare with community economic development and how community economic development initiatives can ease racial tension, is currently experiencing a leadership transition.Multiyear funding will enable the NEDLC to update its business plan; develop a three- to five-year resource development plan; strengthen its board of directors; implement staff organizational development work; and enhance service delivery capability through technological upgrades. For more than three decades, NEDLC has been a leading provider of technical assistance to local practitioners. NEDLC was the first national intermediary to promote sectoral employment development as a strategy to assist residents of low-income communities to address issues and barriers around accessing employment in regional labor markets.
