About this grant
This grant will enable CompassPoint Nonprofit Services to conduct national research on relationships between community foundations and United Way organizations. The study, carried out in partnership with Michigan Community Foundations’ Ventures, will consider community foundations in rural areas as well as mid-sized cities and large metropolitan areas.Funding will support activities that include conducting a literature search on past research; a Web-based national survey of 100 community foundation CEOs; and telephone interviews with 20 community foundation leaders. A final report will be disseminated as a guide to the community foundation field.CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, established in 2000, strengthens the leadership and management capacity of nonprofit and public interest organizations to fulfill their missions and vitalize their communities.
