About this grant
The United Way of Genesee County currently supports 200 health and human services programs offered through 41 agencies serving more than 362,000 individuals throughout Flint and Genesee County. The work of these agencies includes emergency support, youth development, family counseling, assistance for the developmentally disabled, elder care, homeless shelter, domestic violence support and cultural diversity. Funding will help the United Way meet its fundraising goal and build its capacity to respond to a number of critical needs in the Flint area. The United Way of Genesee County was founded in 1922 as the Red Feather Fund of Flint and has been a Mott grantee since 1951.
