About this grant
This grant will support a partnership in philanthropy and social entrepreneurship between the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the University of Bologna’s Masters in International Studies in Philanthropy program in Italy. This is a multidisciplinary master’s program, which provides post-graduate training in all aspects of philanthropy through an accredited and recognized master’s degree. A previous Mott grant to the University of Bologna to develop the partnership with the University of KwaZulu-Natal supported a fellowship for an African student to enroll in the course and a faculty member to be a guest lecturer at Bologna. Current funding will enable two students from the University of KwaZulu-Natal to enroll in the master’s program in Italy, as well as two interns from the University of Bologna to visit the University of KwaZulu-Natal. It will support tuition, travel, staff exchanges, accommodations and administration costs.
